Obituary for James Edward Pressey

Mr. James Edward Pressey, 87 of Jupiter, FL went home to be with the Lord on March 19, 2019 at Heartland Health Care Center in Palm Beach Gardens, FL.
He was born on March 13, 1932 in Jupiter, FL to the parents of the late Quillan Odom and the late Irene Pressey. 
He was educated in the public schools of Palm Beach County and employed as a landscaper for a local landscaping company. Mr. Pressey was a deacon at New Green Valley Missionary Baptist Church in Jupiter and was also a member of the Knights of Pentacles.
During his lifetime he was a hard worker who provided for his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, neighbor and caring friend.
Along with his parents, Mr. Pressey was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; a son, James Edward Pressey, Jr.; a daughter, Betty Clayton; his siblings, Mary Williams, Daisy Jones, Nettie Beasley, Johnny Pressey, and son-in-law, Anthony Rolle.
He leaves behind to celebrate his precious memories and celebrate his homegoing: 3 sons , Thomas Benson of Perry, FL, James Moore of Lantana, FL and Adam Johnson of Stuart, FL; 5 daughters , Shelly Scott (Neely Jr.) of Lake Placid, FL, Diane Riley of Riviera Beach, FL, Virginia Johnson of Stuart, FL and Regina Davis (Abe) of Jupiter, FL; a brother , Dan Pressey (Kathy)) of Port St. Lucie, FL; and 3 sisters , Betty Jean Mostella (Frank) of West Palm Beach, FL:, Lois Simmons of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Luvine Ross of Vero Beach, FL; 24 wonderful grandchildren, 34 darling great-grandchildren and 6 lovely great-great-grandchildren ; and a host of caring nieces, nephews, cousins, church family neighbors and friends who will dearly miss him.
