Mr. James Colley, 63 of Indian River County went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 23, 2015 at VNA Hospice in Vero Beach, FL. He was born in Wabasso, FL to the parents of the late Joseph Lee Colley, Sr. and Annie Laura Johnson. James completed his primary and secondary educated in the public schools of Indian River County, FL. He was employed as a laborer in the construction industry and was a member of St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church in Wabasso, FL. He loved to fish and hunt. Along with his father Joseph Sr., he was also preceded in death by sisters, Queen Elizabeth Colley and Marion C. Zone and a brother, Michael Johnson. He is lovingly survived by: 3 daughters, Khawncic Colley and Latoria Colley of Vero Beach, FL and Tara Colley of Melbourne, FL; 1 step- daughter, Tina Harden (Adam) of Vero Beach, FL; a devoted mother, Annie Laura Johnson of Wabasso, FL; 3 brothers, Rogier Colley of Riviera Beach, FL, Franklin Johnson (Vickie) and Joseph Colley, Jr. of Wabasso, FL; 2 sisters, Bobbie Jones of Sebastian, FL and Adrianna Chambers (Jesse) of Wabasso, FL; 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015 from 4pm-7pm at St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church in Wabasso, FL. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015, 11am at the church. Burial will follow at West Wabasso Cemetery in Wabasso, FL. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary.
