Mr. J.L. Miller , a 62 year old resident of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away, on Monday night, July 9, 2018. He was a victim of a car accident. He has lived in Port St. Lucie for 15 years moving from Hobe Sound, FL. He was born in Whiteville, NC to the parents of the late Oscar and Hattie Elizabeth (Campbell) Miller. J. L. was educated in the public schools of Whitesville and was self-employed as a handy man. He was a family man with a love for art and would literally, "give you the shirt off of his back." J.L. was very funny and would keep you in stitches. He leaves behind to cherished his precious memory: a wife , Ethel Miller of Port St. Lucie, FL; 3 sons , Jamarr Miller of Whitesville, NC and Tevin McFadden of Port St. Lucie, FL and Jimmie Glover of Port St. Lucie, FL; 4 daughters , Jameka Miller of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, LaToya Brown and Tara Brown of Elizabethtown, NC Tabitha York of Whitesville, NC, and Crystal Holmes of Indiantown, FL; 14 grandchildren ; 2 brothers , Jerry Jerome Miller (Jean) of Deerfield Beach, FL, Sammie Lee Miller (Gwen); 3 sisters , Patricia Marie Grant of Deerfield Beach, FL, Inez Miller Boyd (John) of Lauderdale Lakes, FL and Frances Hope of Jensen Beach, FL; one aunt , Minnie Schuler of Seguin, TX; and a host of nieces , nephews, cousins and friends who will dearly miss him. Services: Visitation will be held in Saturday, July, 21, 2018 from 1pm-2pm at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel. A service of memory will begin at 2pm. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL.
