Gregory Denard Gilbert, a 30 year old resident of Port St. Lucie, FL passed away at Jackson Health Systems in Miami, FL. He was born in Stuart, FL to the parents of Gregory and Jeannette (Wiley) Gilbert. He was educated in the public schools of Martin County, FL and graduated from the Jensen Beach Learning Center. Gregory was married to Jessica (Blevins) Gilbert and was the father of two children, the youngest just 10 weeks old. He was employed with Maaco in Stuart as an automotive detailer and was a member of the Stuart Church of Christ. He loved to bowl and enjoyed music so much so, that he was dubbed as "Big Bass". Gregory was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Alma Spearman, maternal grandparents, Willis Wiley and Margaret Bradley; and his paternal great-grandfather, John Gilbert. He will be forever remembered, loved and cherished in the hearts of: his loving wife, Jessica Gilbert; an adorable son, Gregory Denard Gilbert, II; an adorable daughter, Gracelynn Denise Gilbert, all of Port St. Lucie, FL; his devoted parents, Gregory and Jeannette Gilbert of Port St. Lucie, FL; a caring brother, Geoffrey Demond Gilbert and a caring sister, Gi'Ana Dashay Gilbert both of Port St. Lucie, FL; paternal grandfather, Oscar E. Lowery (Phyllis)) of Sierra Vista, AZ; paternal great-grandmother, Rosena Gilbert of Port Salerno, FL; and a host of other relatives, church family and friends who will miss him dearly. Services: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2017- 11am at the Stuart Church of Christ, 1071 SE 10th Street in Stuart, FL 34994 with Minister Terry Frizzell officiating.
