Obituary for Glen Wade McClain

Mr. Glen Wade McClain, 60 of Hobe Sound, FL passed away at Martin Memorial Medical Center-North in Stuart, FL on February 1, 2012. He was born to the parents of the late James McClain, Sr. and Willie Mae Jones-McClain in Stuart, FL. Glen was educated in the public schools of Martin County and attended Murray Jr./Sr. High School in Port Salerno, FL. During his lifetime he was a self-employed landscaper. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, James "Pete" McClain, Jr. and Booker T. McClain and 1 sister, Mary Cooksey. Survivors include: 2 daughters, Keisha McClain and Glendale McClain of Richmond, VA; 5 brothers, Reverend Charles McClain (Brenda) of Fort Pierce, FL, David McClain (Margaret) of Austin, TX, Robert McClain and Larry McClain (Francis) both of Stamford, CT and Allan McClain of Hobe Sound, FL; 6 sisters, Margaret Molo, (Warren) of Rome, NY, Evangelist Hazel Bernard of Hobe Sound, FL, Pastor Lucille Mason of West Palm Beach, FL, Pearl Hudson (James) of Stamford, CT, Linda Palmer of Washington, DC and Sharon McFadden (Norman) of Stuart, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, February 3, 2012 from 5pm-7pm at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel in Stuart, FL. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012 -11am at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Hobe Sound, FL with Reverend Charles N. McClain officiating and Reverend Nathaniel Ward is host pastor. Burial will follow at Banner Lake Cemetery in Hobe Sound.
