Obituary for George Russell Anderson Jr.

George Russell Anderson,Jr.,59,of Vero Beach, FL peacefully and quietly transitioned from this life, at his home, surrounded by the love of his caring family. He was born in Wabasso, FL to the parents of the late, George Russell Anderson, Sr. and Pearlie Mae Anderson. "House Man" or "Pokey" as he was affectionately known by his family and close friends, was educated in the public schools of Indian River County, FL and graduated from Vero Beach High School in the Class of 1973. George was a member of Gatherers of the Harvest Church in Vero Beach and he was employed as a truck driver for an area construction company. His devoted wife, Jeanette Woulard Anderson lovingly shared, "My one and only true love. Although you'll be missed for now, I know that I will see you later. I love you buddy, from your wife, JR. Others said: "Daddy you will truly be missed... I love you, JR., P.S., Crystal." "Love you "Pokey" and I will miss you, Bev." "My oldest son, I love you and will miss you dearly, Mom." "Goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end, They simply mean I'll miss you, Until we meet again. Love you, Boxx." Along with his father, George was also preceded in death by a son, Glen Thomas; his grandparents, Mother Ardile Gordon Black, Charlie Battles, Sr. and Dessie Flowers. He leaves behind to mourn his passing and celebrate his homegoing: a loving and devoted wife, Jeanette Woulard Anderson of Vero Beach, FL; 3 daughters, Felice De Souza (Kevin) of Lanham, MD, Kimberly Georgina Anderson of Vero Beach and Crystal Anderson Farmer (Corey) of Memphis, TN; a caring mother, Pearlie Mae Anderson of Wabasso; 3 sisters, Eunice Anderson of Wabasso, Vivian Anderson Britt (Fred) of Fort Pierce, FL and Beverly Rene' Wilson (Leonard) of Lithonia, GA; 2 brothers, Gary Anderson (Alma) of Fort Pierce, FL and Dexter Anderson (Cherylle) of Wabasso; and a host of nieces, including a special niece, Lakeisha Anderson of Wabasso; nephews, cousins and friends. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 from 5pm-7pm at St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church in Wabasso, FL. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 - 11am at the church with Pastor Terry L. Stover officiating. Burial will follow at West Wabasso Cemetery in Wabasso. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL.
