Emma Mae McCloud, 84 of Vero Beach, FL went home to be with the Lord at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach, Florida on April 27, 2015. She was born in Dothan, AL to the parents of the late Theophilus and Willie Mae Snell and was educated in the public schools of Houston County, AL. Ms. McCloud moved to Indian River County 56 years ago from Dothan, AL. She was employed as a laborer in the citrus industry. She was a member of Faith Temple Evangelistic Church in Vero Beach under the leadership of Bishop James Bradley, Sr. There she served faithfully as a church mother, a former usher, usher board advisor and choir member. Along with her parents, Ms. McCloud was also preceded in death by: a daughter, Ruby Nell Boatwright; brothers, Theophilus "Bud" Snell, Jr., Samuel, Lugene, Robert, Jerry and David Snell; and sisters, Earline and Aretha Snell and Jeanette Ausby. She is lovingly survived by: a son , Leon McCloud (Verinthia) of Vero Beach, FL; daughters , Trudy Dix (George), Elaine McCloud, Ruby Napier (Kenneth) all of Vero Beach, FL, and Angela Johnson of Oklahoma City, OK; brothers ,  Marvette "Bobby" Snell (Theresa) of Abberville, AL and Lucious Snell of Dothan, AL; a sister , Othell Anthony of Birmingham, AL; 23 grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services:  Visitation will be held on Friday, May 8, 2015 from 4pm-7pm at Faith Temple Evangelistic Church in Vero Beach, FL,  (4176 Old Dixie Hwy), and a homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 - 11am at the church.  She will await the resurrection in Gifford Cemetery, Gifford, FL. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary.
