Mr. Embery David Johnson, 62, of Hobe Sound, FL died at Treasure Coast Hospice, Hay-Madeira House in Stuart, FL. He was born in Stuart, FL to the parents of the late Washington James Johnson and the late Willie Lee White-Johnson. Embery attended the public schools of Martin County including Murray Junior/Senior High School. He was employed as a truck driver for the landscaping industry and was a member of Peaceful Valley C.M.E. Church in Hobe Sound, FL. Along with his parents Washington and Willie Lee Johnson, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Harvey Williams. Left behind to cherish loving memories are: 6 brothers, Robert Jackson of Los Angeles, CA, James Johnson, Jr. of Hobe Sound, FL, Alfred Johnson (Ollie) of Stuart, FL, Ivory Johnson (Esther) of Portage, IN, Horace Johnson (Jean) of Hobe Sound, FL and Warren Johnson of West Palm Beach, FL; 6 sisters, Oreatha Johnson of Tampa, FL,Evelyn Lucas of Washington, DC, Gloria J. Patterson (Germaine) of Hobe Sound, FL, Carol Johnson of Stuart, FL, Delores Russell (William) of West Palm Beach, FL and Stephanie Moses (Jerome) of Riviera Beach, FL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, February 26, 2010 from 4pm-7pm at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel in Stuart, FL. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 3:00pm. New Allen Temple A.M.E. Church in Hobe Sound, FL. Burial will follow at Banner Lake Cemetery in Hobe Sound. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart.
