Obituary for Elijah Richard Mack Sr.

Elijah Mack Sr., 63, of Palm City, FL died in the comfort of his home, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Folkston, GA to the parents of Richard Mack and Estella Noble. He attended the public schools of Charleston, County, GA. Elijah was a resident of Palm City, Florida and before that he lived in Indiantown, FL for over 30 years. Elijah was employed as a hotel supervisor. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Mack; a brother, Earl Mack; a sister, Janice Walker Reed; an uncle, James Mack; niece, Caralisa Mack; and 2 nephews, Richard Mack and Samuel Mack, Jr. His survivors include: a devoted wife, Eldra Mack of Palm City, FL; daughters, Sheila Dowling (Horatio), Shannon Thompson (David) and Kimberly Jackson, all of Indiantown, FL and Gloria Jackson of Port St. Lucie, FL; sons, Elijah Richard Mack, Jr. and Darryle Jackson of Port St. Lucie, FL, Roy Eastman of Palm City, FL and Jorel Mayers of New York; his mother, Estella Noble of Folkston, GA; brothers Samuel Mack (Louise), Thomas Walker (Myra), Randy Walker and Thomas Smiley (Ella Mae), all of Folkston, GA; sisters, Estella Mae Mincey (Alvin), Suzanne Stafford (Ervin) and Sandra Brown (Charles), all of Folkston, GA, Darlene McIntyre (IV) of Port St. Lucie, FL, Mollie Howell (Otis) of Indiantown, FL, Debra McCall (Kenneth) of Jacksonville, FL and Sharon Mack of Orlando, FL; devoted sister-in-law, Marva Eastman Jones of Stuart, FL; brother-in-law, Elkan Eastman of New York; 29 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, July 09, 2010 from 5pm-7pm at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel in Stuart, FL. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 3:00pm, New Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Indiantown, FL with Pastor George Palmer officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL. Please sign the guest book.
