Edward Charles Brown, Sr., 57, of Gifford, FL, peacefully departed this life at his residence. He was born in Indian River County and completed his primary and secondary education in the public school system. During his life-time, he was employed in lawn maintenance. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Mae Brown; a granddaughter, Alicia Workman; and a sister, Carrie Mae Brown. Precious memories will forever remain in the hearts of: 3 sons, Antonio Brown (Eddie Mae), Edward Charles Brown, Jr. and Ramario Coney, all of Gifford, FL; a brother, Jerome Brown, Sr. of Gifford, FL; 3 nephews, Jerome Brown, Jr. (Attallah), Larry McGriff and Julius Hewitt, all of Gifford, FL; 3 nieces, Kenya Smith of Vero Beach, FL, Aldrema Conerly and Ellexine Brown, both of Dallas, TX; an aunt, Hazel Hayes of Tallahassee, FL; 2 cousins, Vickie Seymour (Eric) of Vero Beach, FL and Doug Hayes of Tallahassee, FL; other relatives and friends. Services: Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2010 from 10am-11am at St. Peter's Missionary Baptist Church in Gifford, FL. A celebration of life will begin 11am at the church.
