Edmita Lashawn Solomon, 39 of Stuart, FL died on July 19, 2008 at Martin Memorial Hospital-North in Stuart. She was born to the parents of Edwin L. Solomon, Sr. and Tazella Donald-Solomon in Tampa, FL. Edmita moved to Stuart, FL with her family from Chicago, IL in 1978 and graduated from Martin County High School in the Class of 1986. Edmita was a former employee of Hobe Sound Manor Nursing Home in Hobe Sound, Salerno Bay Nursing Home and Gentlemen Jim's of Stuart. She was a member of the Youth Department of St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Stuart. In the year 2007, she joined World's Church of the Living God in Fort Pierce, FL and was a member of the Fundraising Committee. She was preceded in death by her mother, Tazella Donald-Solomon. Survivors include: 2 sons,Tevin and Michael Johnson; her father, Edwin L. Solomon, Sr.; companion, William Johnson; and her grandmother, Hilda Davis, all of Stuart, FL; 4 aunts, 6 uncles, cousins, 5 godchildren, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1, 2008 from 4pm-7pm at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel. A "Celebration of Life" will be observed on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at 2:00pm at St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Stuart. Burial will follow at Washington Memorial Cemetery in Jensen Beach. Thorne's Mortuary, Inc. in charge.
