Dorothy McGee Harris was the oldest of 7 children born to the late Cozetter Schofield and the late Earnest McGee on April 23, 1942 in Madison, FL and at a young age moved to Indian River County with her parents.
Dorothy received her basic education in the public schools of Indian River and was employed during her life as a domestic worker on the beachside for many years.
