Donnie Roy Cook, Sr., 79 of Stuart, FL passed away at Kindred Hospital of the Palm Beaches (in Riviera Beach, FL), on November 29, 2015. He was born in Littleton, NC to the parents of the late Charlie Cook and the late Alice Jefferson Cook. He was an entrepreneur of several businesses in the Stuart, area. Mr. Cook was a friend to all who knew him, always willing and ready to lend a helping hand. Left behind to cherish his precious memories are: a son, Donnie Roy Cook, Jr. of Stuart, FL; daughters, Barbara St. Hill of Port St. Lucie, FL, Donna Cook Porter of Delray Beach, FL, Bernetta Cook of Port Salerno, FL, and Vernidean Young of Miramar, FL; a brother, Charlie Cook, Jr. and a sister, Ednarea Cook; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives including, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends who will miss him dearly. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, December 4, 2015 from 4pm-7pm at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel in Stuart. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at 11am, New Birth Church of God in Stuart, FL. Burial will follow at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart.
