Obituary

Dexter "Cowboy" Lamar Anderson, 55 of Vero Beach, FL (Wabasso), passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019.  He was born in Vero Beach, FL to parents of Pearlie Mae Battles-Anderson the late George Anderson. He was educated in the public schools of Indian River County and graduated from Vero Beach High School in the Class of 1982. He was an ordained minister at Temple of Truth World on Fire Church in Vero Beach, FL where he loved to minister and witness extensively to all who would listen about JESUS!  Dexter was a prayer warrior and intercessor.  He loved to sing and worship the LORD. Dexter was gainfully employed as a truck driver for Habitat for Humanity in Vero Beach. He leaves to cherish his precious memories and celebrate his home going: a loving wife, Cherylle M. Scales-Anderson of Vero Beach, FL; a loving son Benjamin R. Baynes of Boston, MA; 2 loving daughters, LaKiesha Anderson of Wabasso, FL and Cherylle P, Baynes of Boston, MA; a devoted mother, Pearlie Mae Anderson of Wabasso, FL; 1 caring brother, Gary Anderson (Alma) Anderson; 3 loving sisters, Eunice Anderson of Wabasso, FL, Vivian Britt (Freddie) and Beverly Wilson (Lenny) of Lithonia, GA; a devoted canine daughter, Pepper Anderson; 6 adorable grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends. Services:  Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 2pm-3pm at Temple of Truth World on Fire Church, 4380 58th Avenue in Vero Beach, FL.  A Homegoing Celebration will begin at 3pm. Minister Dexter "Cowboy" Lamar Anderson will await the rersurrection at West Wabasso Cemetery in Wabasso, FL. Arrangements have been entrusted into the professional care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart.
