Derrick T. Cooks, 40, a resident of Lake Park, FL passed away on July 16, 2014 at his residence. He was born in Stuart, FL to the parents of the late Calvin Cooks and the late Barbara Ann White Cooks. Derrick was a member of Taking It By Force Ministries in West Palm Beach, FL and was employed as a restaurant cook. He is survived by: a wife, Gabrielle Cooks of Lake Park, FL; 2 sons, Brandon Robinson, Jr. and Bryan Robinson of Lake Park, FL; a daughter, Cheave Cooks of Boynton Beach, FL; 2 brothers, Kelvin Cooks of Port St. Lucie, FL and Demetrius Cooks of West Palm Beach, FL. Services: Visitation to be held on Saturday, August 2, 2014 from 10am-11am at Mt. Calvary MBC in Stuart, FL. A service of memory will begin at the church at 11am. Burial will be held at Washington Memorial Cemetery in Jensen Beach, FL. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary.
