Demetrius Gerrod Johnson, Jr., 5 yrs. old of Port Saint Lucie, FL, quietly passed away at his residence, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born to the parents of Demetrius Gerrod Johnson, Sr. ("Pee Wee") and Shaniqua Lynnette Saez ("Popeye") on February 29, 2004 in Vero Beach, FL. He was a member of the Lake Street Church of Christ in Stuart, FL. Demetrius was full happiness, joy and love and brought nothing but sunshine to those who knew him during his brief stay on earth. He had a special love for football and the cartoon/comic character, "Spiderman." Surviving to forever be reminded of his precious memories are: his parents, Demetrius Gerrod Johnson, Sr. and Shaniqua Lynette Saez of Port Saint Lucie; brothers, Demetrion Johnson of Fort Pierce, FL and Demetri Joseph of Port Saint Lucie; a sister, Demetria Williams Johnson of Port Saint Lucie and his unborn brother due to be born March 17, 2009; maternal grandparents, Maria Saez of Port Saint Lucie and Freddy Simpson of Fort Pierce; paternal grandparents, Tamara Johnson of Port Saint Lucie and Ronnie Anderson of Hobe Sound; paternal great-grandparents, Diana McClean of Port Saint Lucie, Carrie Anderson of Hobe Sound, and John Cobb of Pahokee, FL; maternal great-grandfather, Luis Saez of Stuart; paternal great-great-grandmother, Belle Neely of Port Saint Lucie; and a host of other caring relatives and friends. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2009 from 5pm-7pm at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel. A "Service of Memory and Thanksgiving" will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 11:00am at Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Stuart, FL with the Reverend Elker Harris, Officiating. Burial will follow at Banner Lake Cemetery in Hobe Sound, FL. Arrangements have been entrusted to Thorne's Mortuary, Inc. of Stuart, FL.
