Obituary for Delores Crump Mother

Mother Delores Crump, 68 of Port St. Lucie, FL went home to be with the Lord in the peace and quiet of her home surrounded by the love of her caring family. She was born to the parents of the late Ms. Cora Lee Jarrott and the late Nathaniel Thompson, Sr. in Wilmington, NC. Mrs. Crump has resided in Tampa, FL and Miami, FL. She received her nursing degree and excelled in education attending Lindsey Hopkins Technical Center (Miami Dade Community College) and earned a Master's of Science Degree from Barry University. Mrs. Crump has been employed at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL and because of hard work became a Head Administrator. She has been a member of New Way Fellowship Baptist Church, and a deaconess at New Birth Baptist Church both in Miami, FL. After moving to Port St. Lucie, FL, she became a member of the Jensen Beach Church of God. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Louis Crump, Jr. and a brother, Leroy Tisdale. Surviving to mourn her passing, as well as celebrate her homegoing are: daughters, Linda E. Harris (Kastanza, I) of Port St. Lucie, FL, Stephanie R. Crump of Port St. Lucie, FL and Zipporia "Keisha" Thompson of Miami, FL; a son, Carlton Bernardo Thompson of St. Petersburg, FL; and adopted son, Happy (Angel) Kumah of Maryland; grandchildren, Kastanza, II and Shacora Harris of Port St. Lucie, FL; great-grandchildren, Kemon Thompson of Miami, FL, Kastanza Harris, III, Kamare Harris, Jordan Harris, Kamron Harris, and Kavon Harris, all of Port St. Lucie, FL; and a brother, Nathaniel Thompson, Jr. of Tampa, FL; a host of other relatives including, nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, neighbors and friends. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29, 2014, from 5-7pm at New Birth Baptist Church, 2300 NW 135th Street-Miami, FL 33167. A homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at 10am, Jensen Beach Church of God. Entombment will follow at Rolling Oaks Cemetery in Port St. Lucie, FL. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL.
