Obituary for Debora Elaine Gory Banner

Mrs. Debora Elaine Gory-Banner, 51, a resident of Port St. Lucie FL, died on September 23,2008 at Port Saint Lucie Medical Center. Debora was the tenth child of fourteen children born to Tommy Lee Gory, Sr. and Ella Mae Wilson-Gory in Los Angeles, CA. She graduated from Crenshaw High School in Los Angeles in the Class of 1974. She met and married Luke Donald Banner in 1986. While living in California she was employed with Lockheed Martin in Burbank, CA. In 1992 she and her husband Luke moved to Perry, GA. While in Perry she and her husband both were employed at Northrop Grumman Aircraft. In 2002, they moved to Florida. She was employed at Vought Aircraft Industries, Inc. of Stuart, FL as a senior specialist mechanic. Debora was a member of Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Stuart. She will be fondly remembered by her family and friends as one who enjoyed travelling, working out in the gym, going to the movies and the mall. Debora was preceded in death by her father, Tommy Lee Gory, Sr., two brothers, Ronald Gory and Tommie Lee Gory, Jr. and a son, Luke Donald Banner, Jr. Survivors include: a loving husband, Luke Banner of Port Saint Lucie; two sons, Gregory Neal of Las Vegas, NV and Raymond Banner of Los Angeles, CA; one daughter, April Banner of Perry, GA; four grandchildren, Anigyah Neal, Yazmine Francis and Kamarion Davis and Raymond Banner, Jr.; a mother, Ella Mae Gory of Los Angeles, CA; eight brothers, Ralph, Bobby (Clenetta), Dennis (Virginia), Ricky (Chareou), Charles (Ella), Cornelius (Tarmeaka), Donald (Sharon) and Michael Gory; three sisters, Rose and Beverly Gory and Brenda Lane (Nicholas); a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2008 from 5pm-8pm at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel in Stuart. A celebration of life will be observed on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 12 o'clock noon at Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Stuart with Minister Elker L. Harris, Pastor/Officiating.
