Daniel Johnson, a resident of Okeechobee, FL passed away peacefully at Hospice of Okeechobee, Inc. on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at 9:12am. He was born in Brooksville, FL to the parents of the late Arthur Johnson and Relusta Fagin-Johnson on September15, 1945 and was the youngest of four children. He attended the public schools of Hernandez County, FL and graduated from Morton High School, Brooksville, FL in the Class of 1963. During his lifetime he was gainfully self-employed in the trucking driving industry and relocated to Okeechobee, FL in 1968 from Brooksville. Along with his parents, Arthur and Relusta Johnson, Daniel was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Estelle Johnson and Alice Stevens; a daughter, Syreeta L. Johnson and a son, Boris M. Robinson. Remaining behind to reflect on his precious memories are: a son, Daniel R. Johnson of Tampa, FL, a daughter, Anyah B. Johnson of Okeechobee FL; a brother, Joe Johnson of Brooksville, FL; 5 grandchildren, Chase Cunningham, Cornelius M. Merriweather, Terrance Spivey, Gracie Johnson, David Robinson and VeAndrea Mayes; 2 great-grandchildren, KeAurrie Cooper and Zegery Reeves, III; a godsister, Edna Brown of Brooksville, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends. Arrangements have been entrusted into the professional care of Thorne's Mortuary, Inc. in Stuart, FL.
