Clyde Reed, Sr.,80 passed away Monday August 3, 2015 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, FL. He was born on April 21,1935 to the late James Reed and Louise Green in Blackville, SC. He received his primary education in Blackville, SC before moving to Stuart (as a young man with his family). Believing in hard work, he worked many laborious years as a gas technician in the petroleum industry. Along with his parents, Clyde was also preceded by his wife Mary; companion, Audrey Mincey; 3 brothers, Charles Reed, Athel Green and Leroy Matheny, Jr.; and a sister, Annie Ruth Matheny. Those left to hold dear his memory are: his companion, Millerniece Raysor of Stuart, FL; 3 sons, Clyde Reed, Jr. of Port Salerno,FL, Van Lee Reed (Gail) of Defuniak Springs, FL, and Marcus Reed (Samantha) of Port St Lucie, FL; 7 Daughters, Mary Reed, Betty Burch (Heyward) and Jackie Reed-Kemp all of Barnwell, SC, Cynthia Reed-Carter, of Barnwell, SC, Phyllis Davis of Belle Glade,FL, Miranda Harriel of Port St. Lucie, FL, Rosalyn Strawter of Jacksonville, FL; a step-son, James Mincey of Stuart, FL; a host of step-children; 4 brothers, Issac Matheny, Chester Matheny, Sr.(Jennifer) both of Stuart, FL, Robert Matheny, Sr.(Malecia) and Jerry Matheny(Brenda) both of Port St. Lucie, FL; 4 sisters, Thelma Reed, Margie Harris and Delores Matheny all of Port Salerno, FL and Lillie Moreland (Sam) of Stuart, FL; best friend, Terry Falkenhagen of Port St. Lucie, FL; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends are left to cherish his memory.
