Obituary for Clifton Green III

Clifton Green,III of Rio, FL went home to be with the Lord on April 20, 2015 at Martin Memorial Health Sytems-North in Stuart, FL. Sadly, his brother-in-law Chief Leroy Washington passed away on January 7, 2015, and his sister, Mantha Washington (who is the wife of Chief Washington) passed away on April 19, 2015 and will be eulogized on tomorrow April 24, 2015. As you can see, this family really needs us to diligently and sincerely pray for them at this time. So, I'm asking all of you to pray for their continued strength, because the effectual ferverent prayer of the righteous availeth much. He was born in Stuart,FL to the parents of the late Clifton Green, II and the late Olga Turnquest. He was educated in the public schools of Martin County and graduated from Martin County High School. During his lifetime, Clifton was employed as a landscaper in the lawn care and maintenance industry. He was a member of the Port Salerno Church of Christ under the leadership of Minister Lee Leonard. He is lovingly survived by his wife, Margaret Green; stepsons, Joe Lee Brown and DeWayne Brown, all of Rio. FL; a daughter, Cathalina Green of Atlanta, GA; 2 stepdaughters, Libby Mathis (Adolphus) of Port St. Lucie, FL, Margaret Sabrina Taupe (Robert) of Hawaii; a brother, Haywood T. Green of Orlando, FL; 2 sisters, Loutonia Gary (Freddie) of Stuart, FL and Sandra Ann Fox of Manhattan, NY; 15 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2015 from4pm-7pm at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015, 11am at the Port Salerno Church of Christ in Port Salerno, FL. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary.
