Christopher Tra-Darin Wallace, 9, of Vero Beach, FL (Indian River County), a strong, courageous, and faithful little boy, went home to be with the Lord at Indian River Medical Center. He was born in Vero Beach and was a 3rd grade - A/B honor roll student at Dodgertown Elementary School also in Vero. "Chris", as he was affectionately known to his family and friends, was a member of Upper Room Temple Church of Christ H.U.T.L. in Wabasso, FL. There he served faithfully in the youth choir as the lead singer, a junior usher, a member of the church praise team and Sunday school. He was also a regular soloist at the Wabasso Church of God on "Family Day". He was mature beyond his years and took his church activities and his walk with God very seriously. He was a Miami Dolphins football fan and he loved to fish. On February 23, 2012, he peacefully departed life surrounded by the love of his family. He was preceded in death by: his paternal grandfather, Willie S. Jefferson; maternal great-grandparents, Pearl Douglas Monroe, Edward Alexander Monroe, Willie and Lovella Miles; paternal great-grand mother, Queen Felder. Surviving to forever cherish his precious memory are: his loving parents, Terry Wallace, Sr. and Zenobia LaShay Mortimer-Wallace of Vero Beach, FL; 2 devoted brothers, Terry Wallace, Jr. of Miami, FL and Brandon Wallace of Vero Beach, FL; 3 devoted sisters, Teriyauker Johnson of Orlando, FL, Anteria Mortimer of Vero Beach, FL and Maura Wallace of Melbourne, FL; paternal grandmother, Betty Jean Wallace of Vero Beach, FL; maternal grandparents, Charlie and Johnnie Mae Jackson and Daniel, Mortimer,Sr. and Christine Mortimer of Vero Beach, FL; paternal great-grandparents, Alvin Scott, Sr. and Dorothy Scott of Sebastian, FL; and a host of other relatives including, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and classmates. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday March 2, 2012 from 4pm-7pm at the Wabasso Church of God in Wabasso, FL. A homegoing celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 11:00am, New Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Gifford, FL with his pastor, Elder Vernon Reason officiating. Burial will follow at West Wabasso Cemetery in Wabasso, FL. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL. Please sign the guest registry.
