Christopher Lee Ford, a resident of Hobe Sound, FL died on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Jupiter Medical Center in Jupiter, FL. Chris was born in Stuart, FL to the parents of Mary Ford and Chester Clark. He was educated in the public schools of Martin County, FL and was well known as the best D.J. around. He attended Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Hobe Sound, FL. Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eugene Ford, Sr. and Estelle Ford and a sister, Jackie Ford. Survivors include: 3 sons, Christopher Matheny (Stephanie), Chrishawn Matheny and Javaris Ford all of Stuart, FL; 2 daughters, Crystal Simmons (William) of Stuart, FL and Aleesta "Shay" Ford of Orlando, FL; 8 grandchildren; his mother, Mary Ford of Hobe Sound, FL; father, Chester Clark of Riviera Beach, FL; 3 brothers, Danny Ford, Scotty Ford and Craig Ford; 2 sisters, Harriette Ford and Jeanette Ford, all of Hobe Sound, FL; aunt, Joann Ford Patterson; uncles, Eugene Ford, Jr., David L. Ford, Jr., Lawrence Bryant, Sr. and W.L. Tucker; special friend, Valencia Rose; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, June 11, 2010 from 4pm-7pm at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel in Stuart, FL. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 12, 2010 - 11:00am at New Allen Temple A.M.E. Church in Hobe Sound, FL with Reverend Tyrone Guthrie officiating.
