Obituary for Charles E. Drayton Sr.

Mr. Charles E. Drayton, 77 of Indiantown, FL passed away at his residence, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born in Sebastian, FL to the parents of the late Lewis and Louise Wilcox-Drayton. He was educated in the pubic schools of Indian River County and was employed during his lifetime as a laborer in the construction industry. He moved from Sebastian, FL to Indiantown, FL 68 years ago. Charles was a member of Family Worship Center in Indiantown, FL and the organization of firefighters. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Horace, Joe, Clifford and Junior and a sister, Edith Drayton. Survivors include: his loving wife, Lottie Mae Drayton of Indiantown, FL; his sons, Reverend Tony F. Drayton (Audrita) of Palm Beach, FL, Minister Lorenzo Drayton (Gloria) of Port St. Lucie, FL and Charles "Candyman" Drayton of Costa Mesa, CA; his daughter, Ola Drayton of Canal Point, FL; 8 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives including nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, neighbors, church family and friends. Services: Visitation to be announced. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at Family Worship Center in Indiantown. Burial will follow at Port Mayaca Cemetery in Canal Point, FL. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL.
