Mr. Carol Henry McFadden, 77 of Stuart, FL, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 20, 2010 in the comfort of his home, while being surrounded by the love of his caring family. He was born in Manning, South Carolina to the parents of the late Thomas and the late Ella Rush-Mcfadden. He was educated in the public schools of Clarendon County. In 1965, he and his family moved to Stuart, FL from South Carolina. He was a member of Lake Street Church of Christ in Stuart and served as the chairman of the food committee. Mr. Mcfadden was employed before retirement as a truck driver for Rinker Concrete also in Stuart. Along with his parents, Thomas and Ella McFadden, he was also preceded in death by: 5 brothers, Wardell, Thomas, Arthur, Lawrence and Abraham McFadden; 3 sisters, Bessie McIntosh, Jannie Rose and Pearline Johnson. He is lovingly survived by: his devoted wife, Conyers "Connie" McFadden of Stuart, FL; 3 sons, Roosevelt Pearson (Rose) of Stuart, FL, Minister Henry David McFadden (Gwendolyn) and Levon McFadden (Patricia), all of Port St. Lucie, FL; 4 daughters, Fibbie A. Hampton (Bennie) of Stuart, FL, Mary L. Little (Willie), Carolyn Floyd and Ruth E. Little, all of Port St. Lucie, FL; 27 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; 2 adopted children, Johnny and Carolyn Thomas of Port St. Lucie, FL; 2 godchildren, Jacobra Johnson of Stuart, FL and Jacqueline Napier of Georgia; 1 sister, Zelma McFadden of Lake City, SC; 4 sisters-in-law, Margaret McFadden of Lake City, SC, Lois A. McFadden (Alexander Sr.) of Port St. Lucie, FL, Lue W. Wilson (Percy) of Stuart, FL and Julia A. Davis (Willie) of Port St. Lucie, FL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, neighbors and church family. Services: Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 from 5pm-7pm at the Lake Street Church of Christ. A homegoing celebration will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2010, 11:am at the Lake Street Church of Christ in Stuart, FL where Bro. Henry David McFadden (Son) is minister and Evangelist Elijah Bush,Sr., is minister of the Avondale Church of Christ in Birmingham. AL, will be officiating. Burial and dove release will follow at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL. Please sign the guest registry.
