Mr. Calvin Newton of Stuart, FL passed away at Martin Memorial Hospital North in Stuart, FL. He was born in South Carolina to the parents of Norris Newton and Neter Pearl Harvey-Newton on August 25, 1955. He was educated in the public schools of Martin County and graduated from Martin County High School. During his lifetime he was employed as a construction handy man. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Raymond and James Newton and sister, Lizzie Mae Newton-Queen. Survivors include: sons, Calvin Newton, Jr. (Jessica) of Port St. Lucie, FL, Germaine Newton of West Palm Beach, FL and Dawayne Newton of Stuart, FL; daughters, Nina Dooley (Robert) and Olivia Newton Patton (Mark) of Stuart, FL and Toni Parks of Hobe Sound, FL; brothers, Vannie Newton, John Henry Newton, Horace Newton (Lavorice) Joey Wright (Cheryl), and Thomas Kennedy (Edna) of South Carolina; sisters, Glorris Newton Murphy, of Vero Beach, FL and Alfreda Newton of Stuart, FL; brother-in-law, Donza Queen of Stuart, FL; sister-in-law, Teresa Linton Newton of Miami, FL; 12 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including a special friend, Nancy Davis. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 from 5pm-7pm at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel in Stuart. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2014 at 2:30pm, St. Paul's A.M.E. Church in Stuart. Burial will follow at New Monrovia Cemetery in Port Salerno, FL. Arrangements been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart.
