Obituary for Calvin Lee "Tom" Anderson

Calvin Lee Anderson, AKA "Tom"/"Kelly", 54 of Port Salerno, FL died in the quietness of his home, just two days shy of his 55th birthday. He was born in Stuart, FL. He was educated in the public schools of Martin County, FL and was of the protestant faith. Calvin was employed as a landscaper and worked for a local lawn maintenance establishment. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maybelle Thompson-Atkinson; 3 sisters, Pauline and Paulette Thompson and Patricia Holmes; and 2 brothers, Richard "Nickie" Thompson, George E. "Billy Blue" Atkinson and maternal grandparents, Arthur and Pender Gibson Thompson. His survivors include: 3 sisters, Judy and Pamela Anderson of Defuniak Springs, FL, and Jackie Avilla (Frank) of Port St. Lucie, FL; 3 brothers, Cleveland "Heart Trouble" Thompson of Palm Beach County, FL, Michael Thompson (Valerie) of Port St. Lucie, FL and Raymond Anderson of Immokalee, FL; 1 aunt, Mary Thomas of Port Salerno, FL and 1 uncle, Richard Thompson of Columbus, GA; and a host of other relatives including nieces, nephews and cousins. Services: Visitation will be held from 2pm-3pm at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel in Stuart, FL on Saturday, March 5, 2011. A celebration of life will begin 3pm at the chapel with his brother, Deacon Michael Thompson officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL.
