Obituary for Brent Anthony Brown Sr. Elder

On Thursday, March 29, 2012, all of heaven rejoiced, as the melodious choir and hosts of skilled musicians joined together in thunders of praise and celebration, announcing the arrival of Elder Brent Anthony Brown, Sr. Brent peacefully transitioned from earth to glory in Newark, NJ. He was born in Daytona Beach, FL to the parents of the late Elder Theodore Brown and Vivian A. Brown. He graduated from Weequahic High School in the Class of 1980 and attended Five Towns College in Dix Hills, NY. Brent has resided in Newark, NJ for 22yrs. and a resident of Stuart, FL for 27yrs. He was employed as a courier for FedEx. He was a member of the Church of God by Faith in Newark, NJ for 22yrs. and in Stuart, FL (Love Temple) for 27yrs. He will lovingly be remembered by a plethora of clergy, fellow musicians and friends as an accomplished muscian, of gospel music, organist, bassist and keyboard master. Along with his father, he was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Marilyn Stancil and Cynthia Brown and 2 brothers, Elder Theodore Brown, II and Elder Carl Brown. He leaves behind a loving and devoted family to mourn his passing as well as celebrate his homegoing: a devoted wife, Lowenda E. "Wendy" Brown; loving sons, Brent A. Brown, II, Lorenzo A. Brown and Owen M. Brown; a dear mother, Vivian A. Brown; a caring brother, Elder Michael Brown; 2 caring sisters, Lorraine McGriff, and Kathy Price; a grandson, Jaden; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives, church family and friends. Services: Visitation will be held in Newark, NJ on Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at Whigham Funeral Home from 4pm-8pm and in Florida date and time to be announced. A homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2012, 11:00am at the East Florida Primitive Baptist Association Temple, 3950 Juanita Avenue in Fort Pierce, FL. Elder Brent Anthony Brown, Sr. will await the ressurection at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart, FL and to symbolize his new beginning, "8" beautiful white doves will be released in his honor.
