Obituary for Booker T. Farrell Deacon

Deacon Booker T. Farrell 73, of Riviera Beach, FL went home to be with the Lord, in the quietness of his home, surrounded by the angels and the love of his family on February 6, 2012. He was born in West Palm Beach, FL to the parents of the late Jollie Farrell and the late Mattie Rawls. He was educated in the public schools of Palm Beach County, FL. Before retirement he was employed as a school crossing guard for the City of Riviera Beach and later employed at Molly's Trolleys in Riviera Beach. He was a member of The Original Tabernacle of Prayer For All People in Riviera Beach, FL and served as a trustee, deacon of the church, a Father's on the Father's Council and together with his wife, he was an assistant to the directors of the Family and Marriage Council. Deacon Farrell was an avid gardener ans fisherman. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by: his son, Michael; 5 brothers and 1 sister: Charles, Sr., Donald, Lorenzo, George, Mizell and Doris. He is survived by: his wife, Willie Jean Farrell of Riviera Beach, FL; stepsons, Kennith Burgess of Lake Park, FL and Bernest Thomas of Kansas City, MO; daughters; Rosalind Simmons (Melvin) of West Palm Beach, FL, Veronica Farrell of Riviera Beach, FL, and Deatrice Bradley of Jacksonville, FL; stepdaughters, Virginia McCray of Columbus, SC, Shana English of Riviera Beach, FL, Stacey Ramsey (John) of Delville, AL and Jeanee Butts of West Palm Beach, FL; a sister, Lois Farrell of Riviera Beach; mother-in-law, Ruth Lawson of Jupiter, FL; 4 grandchildren and host of great-grandchildren. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, February 10, 2012 from 5pm-7pm at The Originial Tabernacle of Prayer For All People. A homegoing service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 11:30am at the church with Pastor Haywood Nicholas Williams officiating. Entombment and dove release will follow at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens in West Palm Beach, FL. Arrangements are have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart.
