Obituary for Barry Williams

Barry Williams of Stuart Florida passed away on December 16, 2021, after a brief illness with esophageal cancer. A warm and loving soul to everyone he met, Barry was the heart of our family.

Barry was born to Frank and Mattie Williams in Bristol, Connecticut on October 10, 1956. He is a graduate of Martin County High School and a proud Navy Veteran who served on the USS Harry E. Yarnell. Barry worked as an Aircraft Senior Installer for Sikorsky Aircraft for 20 years and subsequently for Home Depot. Barry was a great shipmate and teammate to his coworkers throughout his career. He recently retired.

A loyal husband, attentive son, loving brother, and supportive uncle, Barry will be missed dearly. His death, albeit untimely, was without pain.

Barry is survived by his father, Frank Williams, and his wife Delores Roache-Williams, his eldest sister Adrienne Gardner and her two children Lajaya and Aric, his younger sister Teri Williams Cohee, her husband Kevin Cohee and their two children Erin and Kevin Jr., his younger brother Hal Williams, and his husband Richard Mallet, as well as a whole host of family and friends.

Barry was preceded in death by his wife of 35 years Jacqueline “Jackie” Massey-Williams, his loving mother Mattie Leigh Williams, and his younger brother Nathan Williams.

A brief and intimate burial service will be held at South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 S. State Road 7, Lake Worth, Florida 33449 on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 9:30 am. Arrangements are being made by Thorne’s Mortuary, Inc. of Stuart Florida.
