Barbara Ann Ross Green, 57, of Vero Beach, FL died at Indian River Medical Center in Vero. She was born in Melbourne, FL to the parents of Margaret Ross and George Taylor. Barbara attended the public schools Indian River and graduated from Gifford High School. She was a member of New Life in Christ Jesus, By Faith At The Cross Church in Gifford, FL under the leadership of Elder Rodger Williams. Ms. Green was employed as a Pre-School teacher. She was preceded in death by: her stepfather, J.D. Green; two brothers, James "Man" Green, Jr. and Byrus "Hip" Green; and one granddaughter, Ashley Williams. Survivors include: two sons, Larry Patterson, Jr. (Ataaba) and Trovon Patterson of Vero Beach, FL; stepson, Nathaniel Patterson of Ft. Pierce, FL; four daughters, Jacqueline Green-Spencer (Edward) of Wabasso, FL, Shalonda Green of Vero Beach, FL, Kiwanis Green of Atlanta, GA and Labara Patterson of Vero Beach, FL; 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; mother, Margaret Ross Green of Vero Beach, FL; father, Claudius "George" Taylor, Sr. (Ruby) of Stuart, FL; brothers, Mickey Green, Sr. (Brenda), Gale Green and Patrick Green, Jr. (Linda) both of Vero Beach, FL, and Claudius "Lucky" Taylor (Margrieta) of Stuart, FL; sisters, Leonora Cartwright (Ervin) of Dallas, TX, Gwendolyn Green of Sebastian, FL, Susan Green of Vero Beach, FL, Pamela Green-Turner (Kurt) of Baton Rouge, LA, Bernice T. Simpson (Joseph) of Indiantown, FL, Deborah "Punchie" Thompson and Mary L. Davis (Jeff) both of Stuart, FL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, November 13, 2009 from 4pm-7pm at New Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church in Gifford, FL. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery in Fellsmere, FL.
