Deacon Arthur James Singleton, 69 of Indiantown, FL died on Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at Martin Memorial Hospital-North in Stuart, FL. He was born in Vidalia, GA to the parents of Arthur Singleton, Sr. and Louise Larkin. Deacon attended the public schools of Toombs County, GA and moved to Indiantown in 1967. Before retirement he was employed as a construction laborer. Deacon Singleton was a member of the House of God Keith Dominion Church in Indiantown under the leadership of Rev. Betty Bryant. He was a member of the Deacon's Board and the church Drummer. Survivors include: his devoted wife, Eudean Singleton of Indiantown; two sons, Rev. Arthur James Singleton, III (Gail) of Orlando, FL and R.J. Singleton (fiance' Ja'Terrya Palmer) of Indiantown; two daughters, Nina Singleton (Declus Joseph) and Lugena Singleton (Mario Reyes) both of Indiantown; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, a host of other family members and friends including the Riggins Family, the Sims Family, Rosa Palmer & Family Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17, 2008 from 5pm-8pm at the House of God - 14714 SW 169th Avenue in Indiantown. A Homegoing Celebration will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 11:00am, at Evergreen First Baptist Church in Indiantown. Burial will follow at Port Mayaca Cemetery, Port Mayaca, FL. Arrangements are by Thorne's Mortuary, Inc. of Stuart.
