Obituary for Annie Dean Anderson

Annie Dean Anderson 61 of Stuart passed away on December 16, 2015 at Treasure Coast Hospice in Stuart, FL. She was born in Dearing, GA to the parents of Robert Hampton, Sr. and Annie Ruth Williams. She moved to Martin County, FL with her family at an early age. Annie Dean was educated in the Martin County Public Schools. She played the clarinet in the marching band, sang in the school choir and was an honor student. Annie Dean graduated from Martin County High School in 1972 and later, attended Jones College in Fort Pierce, FL, where she majored in business. She had a beautiful voice and utilized it to glorify God in the Lake Street Church of Christ song group, under the ministry of Bro. Elijah Bush, Sr. She was a talented seamstress, and used her skill to sew and crochet clothing for family members. Annie Dean married her former husband, Alphonso Tyrone Anderson, on October 6, 1977, and they resided in Stuart and Fort Pierce, FL. She later relocated to Tallahassee, FL where she was employed in the hospitality and retail fields before returning to Stuart. She leaves to forever cherish her memory: two sons, Kevin Hamilton of Stuart, FL and Kobi Anderson of Malone, FL; five daughters, Stanya "Kicia" Thompson, Makyla Anderson and Khalyn Davis all of Tallahassee, FL, Kyra Anderson of Alma, GA, and Chakuria Anderson of Stuart, FL; a loving mother, Annie Ruth Williams of Stuart, FL; one brother, Bennie (Fibbie) Hampton of Stuart, FL; an uncle, Jonas (Teena) Roosevelt of Miami, FL; twelve grandchildren, two nieces, one nephew, and a host of cousins and friends. Services: Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 5pm-7pm at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel. A homegoing service will be held on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 11am., Lake Street Church of Christ in Stuart, FL. Burial will follow at New Monrovia Cemetery in Port Salerno, FL. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL.
