Ms. Alzida Thomas, 92 of Jensen Beach, FL went home to be with the Lord at Salerno Bay Manor in Stuart. She was born in St. Petersburg, FL to the parents of the late Nathaniel Collins and Reva Roberts-Collins. Ms. Thomas was educated in the public schools of Pinellas County, FL. In the mid-1950's she moved to Jensen Beach. Before retirement she was employed as domestic worker for private homes. She was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church in Jensen. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Bennie Thomas. Survivors include: cousins, George Taylor (Florence) of Jensen Beach and Patrick Duval of Fort Pierce, FL. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, December 16, 2011 at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel in Stuart from 5pm-7pm. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2011, 2:30pm at the chapel with Reverend Paul Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Washington Memorial Cemetery in Jensen Beach, FL.
