Mr. Aloras Jones, 69 of Indiantown, FL passed away at Martin South Hospital in Stuart, FL on Sunday, May 19, 2018 at 2:23am. He was born in Okeechobee, FL to the parents of the late Jasper and Beatrice Jones.  He was reared in Indiantown, FL and attended the public schools of Martin County, FL. Aloras worked as a handyman in lawn maintenance and a laborer in the citrus industry.  He attended the Thompson Temple Church of God in Christ in Indiantown under the leadership of Elder Byrd. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by: a daughter, Felicia Jones Preston; 3 brothers, Emanuel Jones, Lawrence Jones and Robert Jones. He is survived by: 2 daughters, Livinia Jones of Vero Beach, FL and Kathleen Jones Johnson of Augusta, GA; 2 sons, Aloras Jones, Jr. of Port St. Lucie, FL and Jasper Jones of Fort Pierce, FL; brothers, Teaster Jones (Deborah) of Port St. Lucie, FL, Billy Jones (Sandra) and Jasper Jones (Johnnie Mae) both of Indiantown, FL; ex-wife and mother of their children, Barbara Jones-Reid of Fort Pierce, FL; sister-in-law, Mattie Lou Jones of Stuart, FL; 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends. Services:  Visitation will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018 rom 5pm-7pm at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel from 5pm-7pm at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel.  A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 5pm at the chapel with Elder Byrd officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL.
