Mr. Albert John Rucker, 61, of Stuart, FL passed away at Kendall Regional Hospital in Miami, FL on Thursday, September 22, 2016. He was born to the parents of the late John Robert Rucker and the late Mable Lavanna Queen in Stuart, FL. Albert completed his primary and secondary education in the public schools of Martin County and graduated from Martin County High School. During his lifetime he was self-employed in lawn maintenance. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by: his maternal grandparents, Archie and Minnie Powell Queen and his paternal grandmother, J.D. Jones; brothers, Rev. George Broomfield, Charlie Washington and Chester Washington; sisters, Judy Rucker and Elmira Jones. Surviving to cherish his precious memories are: 2 brothers,Earl and Robert Rucker of Stuart, FL; 7 sisters, Ethel Mae Weaver (Rev. Daniel T.) of Hobe Sound, FL, Hortense Bloomfield of Lethonia, GA, Betty Jo Queen of Stuart, FL, Ruby Jean Young (Edgar) of Fort Pierce, FL, Ruby Lee "Chantel" of Tampa, FL, Rita Mercer (Elmer) of Hobe Sound, FL and Virginia Rucker of Madison, FL; an aunt, Pearl Queen of Hobe Sound, FL; a sister-in-law, Kathleen Washington of Stuart, FL; and a host of nieces and nephews, including a special niece Tracy Broomfield of Hobe Sound, FL and a special nephew, Thornton Pettway of Stuart, FL; a host of cousins and friends. SERVICES: Visitation will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 from 5pm-7pm at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel in Stuart. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 15, 2016, 11am at the Second Chance Church of God in Hobe Sound. Burial will follow at Florida Memorial Cemetery-Hobe Sound, FL. Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL.
