Mr. Albert Howard, 80, of Stuart, FL passed away at Martin Memorial Hospital-North in Stuart. He was born in Kissimmee, FL to the parents of the late Willie and Sarah Howard. Albert was married to the late Christanna Howard. Albert was educated in the public schools of Osceola County, FL. He moved to Stuart in 1954 and was employed in the horticulture industry. He was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Stuart, FL and the American Legion Post 176 also in Stuart. He received an honorable discharge from the United States Armed Forces. Mr. Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Sarah Howard; his wife, Christanna Howard' 2 daughters, Debra Ann Howard and Commetta Howard; 2 brothers, Eugene Howard and Josh Howard. He leaves to cherish his memory: 7 daughters, Avolene Change (Lawrence)of Lauderhill, FL, Brenda Powell (William) of Kissimmee, FL, Edna Jackson (Randolph) of Riviera Beach, FL, Patricia Clark of Port St, Lucie, FL, Beverly Howard Richardson of Stuart, FL, Albertha Howard of Stuart, FL, Sarah May (Roosevelt) of Lawrenceville, GA; one son, Herman Mitchell, Sr. (Linda) of Fort Pierce, FL; 2 sisters, Iris Wilkerson and Ida Mae Holmes of Kissimmee, FL; 17 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, church family and friends. Services: Visitation will be held on Friday, August 27, 2010 from 5pm-7pm at Thorne's Mortuary Chapel. A home going celebration will be held on Saturday, August 28, 2010 1:00pm at St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Stuart. Interment will follow at Fernhill Memorial Gardens in Stuart.
