Obituary for Alan Gregory McClain

Alan attended Martin County high school in Stuart, Florida. He worked for Tony’s Tree service as a landscaper. He was a huge Dallas Cowboy fan, “GO COWBOYS”. Alan enjoyed playing spades and a master of the game dominoes.

Alan enjoyed being around his family and friends. Alan Gregory McClain AKA “Poppa” was born to the late James and Willie Mae McClain in Hobe Sound, Florida on September 11,1957. He is the thirteenth child to
eighteen children.

Alan made his transition peacefully on July 7, 2021, at Cleveland Clinic-Tradition Hospital in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories to: Kindell Rivers Sr. (Jennifer MacDevitt) and Maggie McClain (Bando Kamara). His sisters: Prophetess Hazel Bernard, Margaret Palmer, and Sharon McFadden. Brothers: Pastor Charles McClain (Brenda) and Robert McClain, Sister-in- laws: Margret McClain and Francis
McClain. Brother-in-law: Willie Cooksey. 4 grandchildren: Wayne Stapleton (Samantha), Kindell Javar Rivers Jr., Ja’Naria Parker and Zyana Parker. 5 great-grandchildren:Trinity Simmons, Zaedyn Stapleton, King Stapleton, Deion Stapleton and Karter Stapleton and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart, FL.
