Nathaniel Davis, Sr.

Nathaniel Davis Sr., 87 of Indiantown, FL went home to be with the Lord in Stuart, FL on Wednesday, October 24, 2012.

He was born in Cat Island, Bahamas to the parentage of the late Theophilus and Alsaida Davis.

During his lifetime he was employed as a carpenter for Martinique Construction for 40 years in Indiantown, FL. He was a member of the Pahokee Church of God in Pahokee, FL where he served faithfully as a deacon. Deacon Davis was the president and manager of a gospel singing group known as the Gospel Challengers.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Mother Lura M. Davis; his eldest son, Willie B. Davis and his two sisters, Victoria and Winifred.

Surviving to mourn his passing as well as celebrate his homegoing are: 4 devoted and caring daughters, Alsaida Jones (Jonathan) of Douglas, GA, Winifred Charles (Jean) and Clara "Tasha" Murvin (Thomas) both of Indiantown, FL and Sabrina Green (Mark) of Riviera Beach, FL; 2 caring sons, Phaion Davis of Indiantown, FL and Nathaniel Davis, Jr. (Tachia) of Orlando, FL; 24 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, Church Family and friends.

Services: Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Pahokee Church of God from 10am-11am. A homegoing celebration will begin 11:am at the church, with the pastor Bishop Bud Mickens, officiating. Burial will follow at Port Mayaca Cemetery, in Port Mayaca, FL.

Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Thorne's Mortuary in Stuart.
